The Place
Kandasamy college, Annanagar
The place was dusty and and there was a crowd. All the fear created by the dust on the equipment did not prove fatal for neither the equipement nor the soul
The Shots

The guys assembled some minutes before the start was formally announced, the emotions was one of anticipation and friendship.

Then there was this girl comperer from the TVs, she was the lone doll in the entire place. The press guys were drolling over her, look at the guy there with the red cap looking at her.

The guys were junping all over the place in the pro class, there was also the amateur class where they just climbed over the two hills. Composition was difficult as each driver had his own style while jumping and you could not take tight shots.

Then there was this trial of panning, Avinash kept on advising me to try panning it was really difficult to get the shutter speed down to 1/80th or the 1/60th of the second mark. Pushing the aperture to the lowest F on the lens (probably 32 on the 75-300) got me down to 1/100 and 1/80 at times.
